Universal Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) related news bits and information.

The UBO is obviously as affected by the COVID-19 virus as everyone else, and plenty of UBO title fights have already been postponed, or plans put on hold, all over the globe.

We sympathize with promoters and boxers who have worked hard only to see shows with UBO title fights canceled on short notice, and we will do our part to help them when the world is ready for live sports again.

In the meantime, please listen to your authorities. Please, please, please stay home as much as possible, and stay safe!

Newly crowned UBO International Cruiserweight Champion Christian “Demolition” Demaj (3-0, 1 KO), from Albania but fighting out of Germany has a new Facebook fan-page, and we urge you to go to it and click LIKE.

Former UBO International Middleweight Champion Ericles Torres Marin is an interesting case. From Santa Clara in Cuba, perhaps the proudest amateur boxing nation in the world, boxing brought him to Hungary where he settled and made his professional debut in 2011.

He struggled to break through in the paid code, and by mid 2016 his record was a very mediocre 9-8-1 (6). But he then went on a nine-fight winning-streak, and captured the UBO title in August of 2016 with a unanimous decision over Hungarian Sandor Micsko.

But since December of 2016, he has not been as successful, as he has gone 2-6. It should be noted that three of the losses came in title fights, and Marin (now 43) continues to fight with a current record of 20-14-1 (8).
