Ford,
who won the UBO World title last February
stopping Sam Rapira in nine rounds and
defended it in May with a seventh round
technical decision over Robert Berridge, is
scheduled to take on Mexican journeyman
Joaquin Murrieta on a show promoted by Rixa
Promotions.

UBO
All-Africa Welterweight Champion Idd
Pialari from Tanzania improved his
record to 23-3-1 (17) on Saturday September
2, when he scored a fifth round knockout of
compatriot Faridi Mbegu at the Chee Kwa Chee
Pub in Bagamoyo, Tanzania. His title was not
on the line.
23-year-old Pialari became UBO All-Africa
Champion in November of 2016, and
successfully defended his belt last May.

Former
UBO World Welterweight Champion Djamel
Dahou (14-0, 13 Kos), from Algeria but
based in Las Vegas, returned to the ring
last March in Mexico after more than two
years out due to injury.
Unfortunately he is now sidelined again with
a back-injury, but in good spirits and
determined to return as soon as possible to
become world champion again. The UBO wish
him a speedy recovery, and all the best of
luck!

in June of 1967, former UBO
Inter-Continental Super Middleweight
Champion Kai Kuramaki made a comeback
last April, just a few weeks short of his
fiftieth birthday and almost
three-and-a-half years after his previous
bout.
Kauramaki, who won the UBO title in 2007 and
is also a former Baltic Champion, out-scored
Belorussian Andrei Sudas to even out his
record at 19-19 (6).
