Undefeated UBO World Light Heavyweight Champion Ryan ”The Real Deal” Ford (12-0, 7 KOs) is staying busy with a non title-fight on Saturday, September 9, in Montreal, Canada.

Ford, who won the UBO World title last February stopping Sam Rapira in nine rounds and defended it in May with a seventh round technical decision over Robert Berridge, is scheduled to take on Mexican journeyman Joaquin Murrieta on a show promoted by Rixa Promotions.

UBO All-Africa Welterweight Champion Idd Pialari from Tanzania improved his record to 23-3-1 (17) on Saturday September 2, when he scored a fifth round knockout of compatriot Faridi Mbegu at the Chee Kwa Chee Pub in Bagamoyo, Tanzania. His title was not on the line.

23-year-old Pialari became UBO All-Africa Champion in November of 2016, and successfully defended his belt last May.

Former UBO World Welterweight Champion Djamel Dahou (14-0, 13 Kos), from Algeria but based in Las Vegas, returned to the ring last March in Mexico after more than two years out due to injury.

Unfortunately he is now sidelined again with a back-injury, but in good spirits and determined to return as soon as possible to become world champion again. The UBO wish him a speedy recovery, and all the best of luck!

Born in June of 1967, former UBO Inter-Continental Super Middleweight Champion Kai Kuramaki made a comeback last April, just a few weeks short of his fiftieth birthday and almost three-and-a-half years after his previous bout.

Kauramaki, who won the UBO title in 2007 and is also a former Baltic Champion, out-scored Belorussian Andrei Sudas to even out his record at 19-19 (6).
