FUTURE:     

- Winning the UBO Inter-Continental Super Welterweight title in April of 2008, impressively stopping former European Champion Mamadou Thiam in eight rounds, turned out to be the last hurrah for Ashira, who has not boxed since and is reportedly happy in retirement.

The former Kenyan Olympic representative in Atlanta (1996), and Commonwealth amateur champion, now runs a gym in Copenhagen, the capital of his adopted home-country Denmark, and works as a personal trainer.
