- After winning the UBO World Super Welterweight title in April of 2012, Ali Nestor Charles decided to retire from professional boxing.

Instead he returned to Mixed Martial Arts, a sport he had also competed in before turning to The Sweet Science.

He had two more MMA fights, in December of 2012 and in May of 2013, and has since been completely retired from active fighting.
