Karina Fernandez and Araceli Palacios Figueroa will square off in an all-Mexican clash for the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) World Bantamweight title on November 5 in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua.

Televised live by Canal 44, the fight will headline a ten-bout card promoted by Union Promotions in association with 2M Box Promotions at the Gimnasio Josue Neri Santos.

La Bella” Fernandez (17-7-1, 3 KOs), the UBO International Super Bantamweight champion, last fought in June when she challenged for the WBA world title against Mayerlin Rivas and was forced to retire after three rounds due to a broken nose.

Now the 31-year-old is moving down in weight for another crack at world honours, and will be facing an experienced and rugged opponent in “Muneca” Figueroa (35).

Araceli Palacios Figueroa brings a deceiving 11-13 (2) record to the fight, but holds a victory over current WBC world champion Yuliahn Luna Avila.

While her statistics are negative, she has never been stopped while facing the likes of world class foes Isabel Millan, Seniesa Estrada, Marlen Esparza and Sulem Urbina, to name a few.

Both women are known for being in entertaining, all-action fights, and this one is expected to be no different.
