UPDATE: LATER CHANGED TO INTERNATIONAL SUPER WELTERWEIGHT TITLE! On June 11, Brandon “The Cannon” Berry (23-6-2, 16 KOs) will fight undefeated Juan Manuel Witt (39-0-2, 28 KOs) for the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) Inter-Continental Welterweight title.

The fight between current UBO All-America champion Berry and Argentina´s Witt, will headline a card at Skowhegan Community Center in Skowhegan, Maine.

Berry (34), from nearby West Forks, won the UBO All-America welterweight title in November of 2020, and successfully defended it five months later.

A pro since 2013, he has won ten of his last eleven bouts, entering what is undoubtedly the most significant fight of his career to date.

Former UBC World Champion Juan Manuel “El Principito” Witt (34) entered the paid ranks in 2008, and has yet to experience defeat in forty-one bouts, winning numerous titles along the way.

Most recently, on March 18 in Argentina, he defeated compatriot Lucas Martin Salinas in four rounds to add a couple of regional belts to his collection.

"I am looking forward to this opportunity, fighting such a successful opponent with such a great record", said Berry.

"A win against Witt should put me in place for something even bigger, and that's always been the plan."

"I´m very grateful to the UBO for sanctioning the fight for its Inter-Continental title, a title which has been held by great names such as Roy Jones Jr. and Anthony Dirrell in the past."

"Winning a title like this is what help fighters keep moving up the ladder, and I intend to make the best of it."

"Thank you to my wife Jillian for her unmatched support, my family for always being behind me, and all my loyal fans and sponsors. If it weren't for you, this wouldn't be happening."

Excitement guaranteed, the very intriguing match-up between two boxers who can punch and likes to brawl, will be promoted by Team Berry Boxing.
