Two new Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) champions were belted on Tuesday afternoon, October 5, at the Victory Target BC in Bekasi City, Indonesia.

In a clash of domestic rivals, Patrick Liukhoto won the vacant UBO World Bantamweight title, defeating George Lumoly convincingly by second round knockout.

27-year-old Liukhoto looked sharp from the first bell, and it was clear that he had a strategy to break his opponent down with body-punches.

Lumoly came out aggressive, firing away, but early in the second round Liukhoto connected with a perfectly placed shot to the liver, and it served its purpose as Lumoly went down hard and was unable to continue.

The new UBO World Champion improved his professional record to 13-2-2 (9), while Lumoly (29) goes to 15-9-1 (11).

In the co-main event, undefeated Malaysian hot prospect Adli “Goldenboy” Hafidz took home the vacant UBO Inter-Continental Middleweight title, impressively stopping Indonesian Robert Kopa in the second round.

Now 9-0 (5), former WBC and WBA Asia titlist Hafidz moves closer to potentially fighting for a world title in quick time. Kopa, himself a former WBO regional champion, drops to 14-10-3 (4).
