Avci Stops Kvezereli In Two, Wins UBO Inter-Continental Title

Turkish hero Serdar Avci won the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) Inter-Continental Heavyweight title on Wednesday night, May 19, at the Kiev Sport Arena in Kiev, Ukraine.

 
 

Avci stopped fellow undefeated Georgian Zaal Kvezereli in the second round in the co-main event of a show promoted by Champion Boxing Promotions.


Despite being significantly smaller than his opponent, the 35-year-old from Istanbul was dominant from the start, and ended matters conclusively with a left hook to the liver in the second round. Time of stoppage was 0:50.


With the victory, Avci improved is professional record to 10-0 (10). Kvezereli is now 7-1 (7).


 
 

Being the older brother of UBO Inter-Continental Super Welterweight Champion Arda Avci, history was made as Serdar and Arda are the first brothers in history to hold UBO titles at the same time.
