His fight
against co-challenger, and fellow countryman,
Badive Badibanga was supposed to take place on
Friday December 11, but was suddenly postponed
for 48 hours when local authorities claimed the
previously planned venue for a political gathering only a few hours
before the first bell.
Finally
in the ring, after going through the highly
unusual process of making weight for the fight
twice, Tshimanga Katompa wasted little time and
proved a level above Badibanga, winning by
second round stoppage.
