On November 20, Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) All-Africa Cruiserweight Champion Lambert Fogoum from Cameroon will make his first title-defense at the JW Marriott in his adopted home-town of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.

Fogoum (8-1, 7 KOs) will face what will probably be his sternest test to date in “The Egyptian Hurricane” Hany Atiyo (17-3, 12 KOs), who held the UBO All-Africa title at Light Heavyweight back in 2011 and is also currently based in Dubai.

Since winning the UBO belt this past March, defeating Stephen Abbey on away soil in Ghana, 31-year-old Fogoum has fought twice, winning non title-fights, both by stoppage, in Dubai.

In Atiyo (37), who is also a former WBC (ABU) African Champion and Egyptian national Champion, he will be in with someone considerably more experienced who has only lost to two men, twice to former UBO World Cruiserweight titlist Joey Vegas and to legendary former UBO Inter-Continental Champion Roy Jones Jr.

It may be two Africans fighting for the All-Africa title in the United Arab Emirates, but since both men now call Dubai their home there will also be a lot of bragging rights on the line.

The fight will be promoted by Sanjay Boxing Promotions.
