It rarely happens, but once in a great while two undefeated prospects square off early in their careers to decide who will move up the ladder, and who will take a step back. Someones O has to go!

So it was on November 24, 2018 in Velbert, Germany, when local hero Sherif Morina took on Tanzanian Benson Nyilawila for the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) International Welterweight title.

Morina (7-0-1, 4 KOs) was coming off a draw in his previous outing, while Nyilawila (10-0, 6 KOs) had yet to leave the ring as anything but the victor.

The fight turned out to be competitive and high-paced as expected, with Nyilawila elusive and tricky while Morina put on a disciplined performance to defeat the best opponent he had faced at that point.

Morina came forward most of the fight, and put pressure on Nyilawila, who did well boxing on the back-foot and worked with his jabs and counters.

It was a close bout, probably more intense than exiting, but after ten rounds Morina was awarded a unanimous decision by scores of 96-94, 97-93 and 97-93.
