Dubai-based Cameroonian Lambert Fogoum traveled to Accra, Ghana and dominated home-town man Stephen ”Warrior” Abbey to win the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) All-Africa Cruiserweight title on Saturday (March 7).

At the Bukom Boxing Arena, Fogoum was simply too strong and powerful for the more experienced local, and scored knock-downs in rounds two and four before the corner of Abbey decided their man had had enough and retired him at the start of round five.

The 30-year-old new UBO Champion improved his professional record to 6-1-1 (5), this being his fourth straight stoppage-victory inside one year. Abbey drops to 15-18 (11), a very misleading statistic on a career that started in 2007.
