Ugandan Frank Kiwalabye won the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) All-Africa Bantamweight title on Sunday (December 8) at Muganzirwazza Katwe in Kampala.

The local man was dominant in stopping Fadhili Chamile from Tanzania in the third round, in the main event of a show promoted by Kasta Promotions International in association with Uganda Sports Promotions.

A former Ugandan national champion and East & Central Africa Champion, this was the most significant win in the career of Kiwalabye, who improved his professional record to 18-2 (14).

He could now potentially challenge for the UBO World Bantamweight title next year.

Chamile, who was coming off a draw with former UBO World Flyweight Champion Juma Fundi, drops to 5-3-6 (2), but at only twenty-three he has plenty of time to rebound.
