Kummer Wins UBO World Title In Germany

Alicia Melina Kummer is the new Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) Female World Super Lightweight Champion, after defeating Prisca Vicot from France on Saturday, March 16, in her birth-town of Buchholz, Germany.

 
 

After ten competitive rounds of world-class boxing at the Nordheide Halle, all three judges scored the fight for Kummer: 97-93 (Sergey Kovalenko), 96-94 (Ingo Steckmann) and 97-93 (Uwe Labs).

30-year-old Kummer, who now resides in nearby Hamburg, took her record to 13-1 (8), having entered the professional ranks in 2014. Vicot, originally from Paris but currently based in Karlsruhe, Germany, dips to 9-6 (2).

Besides winning the UBO world title, Kummer defended the WIBA and GBC titles she already held, and also added the vacant UBF belt to her growing collection.

Streamed live world-wide by Boxwelt.com, the fight was the main event of a near sold-out show promoted by Venetis Promotions.
