One of the most decorated Australian boxers in recent memory, and current Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) International Champion, Tommy ”The Titan” Browne (35) is taking aim at UBO world honors on home soil.

On August 19 at the K Ranch Arena in Sydney, Browne (38-7-2, 15 KOs) will take on Ebenezer Lantei Lamptey (29-3, 22 KOs) from Ghana for the vacant UBO World Super Welterweight title.

The fight will headline a big show staged by accomplished promoter Paul Druce.

Browne, who has held numerous titles from Featherweight to Super Welterweight, won the UBO International title in May of 2017, stopping Indonesian Alexander Bajawa in three rounds in Singapore.

He since added the IBO Asia Pacific title with a victory over former WBC World Champion and UBO Inter-Continental titlist Sirimongkhon Iamthuam from Thailand, also in Singapore, and has scored two non-title victories in Las Vegas and Miami earlier this year.

Ebenezer Lantei Lamptey (32) from Accra is a former WBO Africa Super Lightweight champion, and is on a five-fight winning run since 2015.

Nicknamed “Hitman”, Lamptey is known as a ferocious puncher and must be considered a genuine threat to Browne´s hopes of winning a world title in Australia.
