Among
them are current super star Vasyl Lomachenko,
who captured the WBO International Featherweight
title in his first pro fight in 2013.
April 6, at the Shangri-La
Hotel & Resort Ballroom in Muscat, Oman, local
boxing hero Amin Bait Saleem will attempt to
copy that accomplishment.
On a show promoted by
Alswayni Boxing Promotions, he takes on veteran
Tanzanian Said Mbelwa for the vacant
Universal
Boxing Organization™ (UBO)
International Light Heavyweight title.
Nicknamed
“The Armz”, Bait Saleem is a United Arab
Emirates (UAE) amateur champion, and the first
boxer from Oman to turn professional.
It is
safe to say he is not choosing an easy path,
fighting an experienced foe for a championship
over ten rounds in his debut.
