UBO - Universal Boxing Organization™

Frenchman Jean Moraiti won the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) World Super Lightweight title on Saturday night (December 2) at the Centre Sportif du LNBD annexe Alliance in Dudelange, Luxembourg.

Moraiti won a clear unanimous decision over game but out-classed co-challenger Beka Lazarashvili from Georgia, who came in on short notice but deserves credit for fighting his chance.

On a show promoted by Josiane Faber, Moraiti was just the superior fighter, and did very well to control the fight from the first to the last bell.

In the end the land-slide scores were 120-108 (Carlo Kontz), 119-109 (Toni Tiberi) and 119-109 (Dominique Schmit). Referee: Alain Hemeleers.

Moraiti, who at 25 is a two-time World Boxing Federation International Champion and also won the UBO Inter-Continental Lightweight title in 2016, is now 17-11–4 (2).

Only twenty years old, Lazarashvili drops to 9-3 (4).
