In the
evenings Co-Feature, home-town hero Jacques
Tshikubu Muvud, the reigning D.R.C. national
champion, picked up the vacant UBO Central
Africa Super Welterweight tile with a convincing
third round stoppage of Mamadou Kulibali, also
from Niger.
24-year-old Muvud was dominant from the first
bell, and simply too sharp and strong for the
visitor. It quickly became a matter of time, and
the end finally came when Referee Nzau Zama
waved it off at 2:02 of the third stanza.
With the
victory Muvud remained undefeated at 5-0 (3),
while Kulibali drops to 7-4 (2).
The card
was promoted by Manda Mudadi.
