Armen Ypremyan won the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) Inter-Continental Super Middleweight title on Saturday (May 27) at the Centre Sportif du annexe Alliance in Dudelange, Luxembourg.

The strong Amenian-born Apremyan out-worked and out-fought co-challenger Nodar Robakidze from Georgia, who, despite being willing and lively, was not able to keep up with the pace.

While he was not able to end matters inside the distance, there was no doubt that Aprymean had won widely, and the judges scored the ten-rounder in his favor accordingly:

99-90 (Judge Carlo Kontz), 99-91 (Judge Alain Hemeleers) and 99-90 (Judge Philippe Wouters). Referee was Tonio Tiberi.

Ypremyan remained undefeated and took his record to 7-0 (3), winning his first professional title.

Robaridze, coming off a draw with former French Champion Julien Marie Sainte in France and a victory in Georgia, drops to 21-23-4 (8).

Promoter was Julien Aguilar Honore.
