Three Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) All-Africa championship fights are set to take place on March 25 in Brazzaville, the capital of The Republic of the Congo (not to be confused with the Democratic Republic of the Congo / D. R. C.).

On this spectacular occasion, local heroes Hurcus Samba, Kibongui Loukoji Aristid and Loamba Foundux will take on opponents to be confirmed for the UBO All-Africa Cruiserweight, Middleweight and Super Welterweight titles respectively.

The fights, which will be the first All-Africa title fights ever in the central African country, are promoted under the patronage of President Denis Sassou Nguesso, who successfully arranged the 2015 African Games in Brazzaville and showed the world its capabilities of presenting massive events.

In the past, boxers from Congo were forced to go abroad to follow their dreams as professionals. Those who could not go further, crossed the Congo River to fight under the guidance of D.R.C. promoter Mukadi Manda in Kinshasa.

With a desire to show his gratitude to the country that organized his 2001 TWBA title fight in Brazzaville, the aforementioned Mukadi Manda contacted Messrs Kouad Landry, Youssouf Papitch Batouzolako and the president of the Congolese Federation of Boxing Mr. Richard Mouambouma, and now returns to promote on March 25.

Besides the three UBO title fights, further history will be made when the first ever Congo national champion will be crowned in a fourth championship fight on the card, and the event is seen as a real beginning for professional boxing in the Republic of the Congo.

No longer will Congolese professional boxers be forced to travel abroad and exile themselves to pursue their dreams of winning titles and gaining glory in the ring!

The historic championship extravaganza on March 25, 2017, under the patronage of President Denis Sassou Nguesso and the supervision of the ministry of sports, will be organized by Mukadi Manda in association with Messrs Kouad Landry, Youssouf Papitch Batouzolako and the Congolese Federation of Boxing.
