Featherweight contender Martin Parlagi from the Czech Republic is set to square off with Tanzanian veteran Francis Miyeyusho for the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ Inter-Continental Featherweight title on July 2 in Trutnov, Czech Republic.

Parlagi (19-2, 10 KOs) is hoping to make it third-time-lucky in a major title fight, after losing decisions in WBO European and WBO Inter-Continental challenges against Marco McCullough and Ben Jones in the United Kingdom in 2014 and 2015.

Nicknamed “Cracker”, the 28-year-old from Prague has been a pro since 2011 and is coming off three decisive victories since losing to Jones last October, and this time he is hoping that fighting in his home-country will help him succeed.

But he will not be in for an easy ride against grizzled and experienced campaigner Francis Miyeyusho (41-14-3, 24 KOs). The Dar-Es-Salaam Southpaw entered the paid ranks in 1998, and in 2011 he won the UBO Inter-Continental Bantamweight title by defeating former IBO World Champion Mbwana Matumla.

He made one successful defense of his UBO title, in December 2012, and has since moved up in weight to try to emulate the feat at Featherweight. Always durable and dangerous, the 36-year-old has proven in the past that even after fifty-eight fights he can compete at a high level.

The Parlagi vs. Miyeyusho UBO Inter-Continental title fight will be the main event of a show that also features a clash for the UBO Baltic Cruiserweight title between undefeated compatriots Jakub Synek (6-0-1) and Daniel Vencl (4-0).
