Budapest resident Sandor
Micsko, a 29-year-old southpaw who was born in
Ukraine but has lived in Hungary most of his
life, currently holds a 29-10-2 (21) record.
Having shared a ring with notables such as Chris
Eubank Jr., Brian Rose, Michel Soro and Matthew
Macklin, he is the more accomplished of the two.
In 2013 he captured the
Hungarian national and World Boxing Federation
Middleweight titles
against compatriot Ferenc
Hafner, and later that same year he traveled to
Croatia to stop 15-0 Ivan Jukic for a WBC
regional belt.
He has since won the
Hungarian title at Super Middleweight and
regained the Hungarian Middleweight crown, and
will now be looking to add a UBO belt to his
collection on May 8. He won his most recent bout
by first round stoppage, and is scheduled for
another tune-up on April 16.
UBO Baltic and Mediterranean
Commissioner Sebastien Pitois will travel to
Budapest to supervise the intriguing encounter,
and has high hopes for what will happen in the
ring:
“I
am very much looking forward to this fight, and
to attend the show in general, as the promoter
always puts on well-organized events. This will
be my second time going to a show promoted by
Fight Night Show Promotion, and again its for a
well-matched and interesting UBO title fight”,
said Pitois.
