With a packed ballroom at the Aquincum Hotel in Budapest, Hungary watching, Universal Boxing Organization™ European Heavyweight Champion Zoltan Petranyi successfully defended his title for the fourth time on Sunday night (June 15).

Petranyi boxed well as he controlled the distance against challenger Andras Csomor, who had brief moments of success but never troubled the champion seriously.

In round four an accidental clash of heads caused a nasty cut on the left eyebrow of Csomor, but referee Miklos Dory allowed the fight to continue reluctantly after consulting with the ringside doctor.

Sensing the urgency, Csomor did all he could to land some heavy shots on Petranyi, but the miracle-punch never came.

The fight was stopped a few seconds into round five by advice of the doctor, and went to the scorecards as per the UBO rules and regulations.

Petranyi was clearly ahead on all three judges cards, winning a unanimous technical decision.

With the victory he improved his record to 51-20 (15), and Csomor is now 9-3-1 (7).

Televised by FIX TV,
the show was promoted by Profibox-Promotion, headed by Petranyi.
