UBO - Universal Boxing Organization™

Peruvian star Eduardo “El Chino” Ajito (25-2-1, 13 KOs) will fight for the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) world Flyweight title on July 15.

Almost ten years after making his professional debut, Ajito takes on an opponent still to be confirmed in the main event of a show in his home-town Callao.

A former WBA regional titlist at Light Flyweight, the 37-year-old has only lost in two bids for WBO championships, and is unbeaten in his last thirteen bouts.

If successful on July 15, Ajito will be only the fourth professional world boxing champion from his country, following Kina Malpartida (WBA Super Featherweight, 2009-2012), Alberto Rossel (WBA Interim Light Flyweight, 2009-2014) and Linda Lecca (WBA Super Flyweight, 2014-2018).

This will be the first world championship fight in Peru since Lecca lost her title in May of 2018, making it a hugely anticipated event.
