UBO - Universal Boxing Organization™

Never giving up on her goal despite many setbacks, and a willingness to fight anyone, anywhere, are strong factors in the success of newly-crowned Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) world Featherweight champion Halima Vunjabei.

On March 21 in her home-town of Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, she won the UBO world title after three previous failed attempts at world honours, when she defeated compatriot Sara Alex by unanimous decision (98-92, 98-92, 97-93) at the Kinesi Stadium.

It was a controlled and impressive performance, where Vunjabei showed her experience against a very good and game opponent.

Besides improving her professional record to a misleadingly modest 17-15-1 (10), this achievement also made her the UBO Boxer of the Month for February 2026!

A pro since January of 2014, Vunjabei is still only thirty-one years old and has time to further build on her resume, which also includes UBO International and WBF International titles.
