JANUARY 7, 2026 /
BY UBO PRESS OFFICER |
| |
 |
It is time for the
2025
Universal Boxing Organization™
(UBO) Awards. After another good year
with many excellent fights and new champions, we have ten
categories with deserved and credible
winners.
|
|
|
| |
|
Below we
list the winners of the various categories, but if
you are one of the boxers, managers, promoters
etc. involved with the UBO in 2025
who do not receive an
award, please know that you are still very much
appreciated.
The
recipients are as follows:
|
| |
| |
|
|
|
|
 |
| |
|
Octavio Pudivitr (Portugal)
UBO World Cruiserweight Champion.
-
Universal
Boxing Organization™
(UBO)
world
Cruiserweight champion Octavio Pudivitr
(16-2, 11 KOs) is the 2025 UBO Boxer of the
Year.
This
honour comes as a result of Pudivitr
becoming a two-weight UBO world champion,
having held the Light Heavyweight title
(2023) before winning the Cruiserweight
crown last June.
“Tank”
Pudivitr dominated and stopped extremely
experienced and accomplished Argentinian
Ruben Eduardo Acosta in three rounds, a
very impressive result.
|
 |
|
| |
| |
|
It was his sixth
straight win, all by stoppage, since moving up in
weight.
|
| |
| |
|
HONOURABLE MENTION: Alessio Bisutti
(Defending UBO Inter-Continental and winning UBO
world Heavyweight title), Deonte Walker

Ege Konuk W10 Chaiyapong Phongwankittikun
UBO Youth Super Lightweight Title
(May 31, Bangkok).
-
With the
Universal
Boxing Organization™
(UBO)
Youth
Super Lightweight title on the line, Ege
Konuk (14-1, 8 KOs) and Chaiyapong
Phongwankittikun (10-0, 9 KOs) put on an
amazing fight on May 31 in Bangkok,
Thailand.
It was
back and forth,
toe-to-toe action
from start to finish between two excellent
up-and-comers, with every round being
close.
It was
Konuk who got the Majority Decision
(95-94, 95-94 and 95-95)
after
ten rounds of war,
despite suffering a fourth round
knock-down, but this could just as easily
have gone Phongwankittikun´s way.

 |
|
| |
| |
|
A genuine
barn-burner, this is without a doubt the 2025 UBO
Fight of the Year!

Pasquale Barile KO 3 Patrizio Santini
UBO Youth Welterweight Title,
April 11, Rome, Italy.
-
Pasquale
Barile came in as the underdog when he
fought compatriot Patrizio Santini for the
vacant
Universal
Boxing Organization™
(UBO)
Youth
Welterweight title on April 11 in Rome.
With a
record of 7-4, and no stoppages on his
resume, it looked like a tough task, and
very unlikely that Barile would be able to
stop the 13-2 home-man.
But
never the less, this was the night when
Pasquale Barile became a devastating
puncher, as he completely, and
spectacularly, destroyed Santini in the
third round.
|
 |
|
| |
| |
|
This was the UBO
2025 Knockout of the Year!
Since, Barile,
now 12-4 (4), has scored three more knockouts, two
of them against undefeated foes who were both 9-0,
and even added the IBF Youth Lightweight title to
his collection.

Rachel Lally (Ireland)
UBO International Super Middleweight
Champion.
-
Four
fights into her pro career, Rachel Lally

Universal
Boxing Organization™
(UBO)
International Super Middleweight champion
and the UBO 2025 Prospect of the Year.
Lally
(3-0-1, 1 KO), from Ireland but based in
Dubai, beat fellow undefeated Leila Yusuph
Macho from Tanzania to win the UBO title
on November 9.
With a
convincing performance and a clear
unanimous decision, the highly regarded
southpaw proved that she is already
world-class.
|
 |
|
| |
| |
|
As UBO
International titlist, and clearly capable beyond
her experience, she could soon find herself in a
fight for the UBO world title.

Vladimir Georgiev (Bulgaria)
UBO World Super Middleweight
Champion.
-
Winning
the UBO world Super Middleweight title by
beating Ronny Londaeta makes Bulgaria´s
Vladimir Georgiev the
Universal
Boxing Organization™
(UBO)
2025 New
Champion of the Year.
On July
19 in Sveti Vlas, Bularia, Georgiev scored
the biggest win of his career, and did so
convincingly, in front of thousands of
spectators at the Amphitheatre Arena.
After
coming up short in big fights previously,
Georgiev (14-4, 3 KOs) finally prevailed
with a clear unanimous decision.

from the Philippines, beat Thai Alphisit Nulae to
become UBO Continental (Asia) Welterweight
champion, Aekkaphob Auraiwan won the UBO

fellow Thai Weerapat Kamlangwai, and Iranian

|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
COMEBACK BOXER OF THE YEAR |
|
|
 |
| |
|
Mahdi Sarbaz (Iran)
UBO Continental (Asia) Super Welterweight
Champion.
-
Mahdi
Sarbaz, from Iran but based in Thailand, was
a shoo-in for the
Universal
Boxing Organization™
(UBO)
Comeback
of the Year Award.
With
three straight losses, albeit against very
good opponents, he was entering the “Last
Chance Saloon” when he fought Filipino
Elmo Traya for the vacant UBO Continental
(Asia) Super Welterweight title on October
25 in Bangkok.
Sarbaz,
knowing he had his back against the wall,
put on an excellent performance to stop
Traya in five rounds.
|
|
|
| |
| |
|
29-year-old
Sarbaz, a former WBC regional titlist, took his
record to 6-4 (5), statistics which are
quite misleading when you consider his quality and
potential.
|
| |
| |
|
HONOURABLE MENTION: Eva Cecilia Santoscoy
(UBO world Bantamweight champion), Ahmed
Obaid (UBO International Flyweight
champion), Gilberto Mendoza
(UBO world Light Flyweight champion),
Sarah French (UBO International
Welterweight champion).
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
ACCOMPLISHMENT OF THE YEAR |
|
|
 |
| |
|
Eva Cecilia Santoscoy (Mexico)
UBO World Bantameight Champion.
-
Mexico´s
Eva Cecilia Santoscoy gets the 2025
Universal
Boxing Organization™
(UBO)
Accomplishment of the Year Award.
In March
Santoscoy won the UBO International
Bantamweight title by out-pointing tough
co-challenger Kandy Sandoval.
Seven
months later, in October, she captured the
vacant UBO world Bantamweight title with a
unanimous decision over Guadalupe Garcia.
|
|
|
| |
| |
|
Improving her
record to a deceivingly modest 12-9 (7), Santoscoy
completely resurrected her career by winning two
UBO titles in 2025, something no other boxer
accomplished.
|
|
|
|
|
|
HONOURABLE MENTION: Alessio Bisutti
(retaining UBO Inter-Continental Heavyweight title
and winning UBO world Heavyweight titlle),
Rachel Lally (winning UBO International
Super Middleweight title in fourth pro bout),
Deonte Walker (winning and
retaining UBO International Welterweight title).

|
|
|
| |
