On November 23
in Pathum Thani, Thailand, he will face local
veteran Pipat Chaiporn (49-19-2, 32 KOs), by far
his most accomplished and experienced opponent
to date, for the vacant title.
Sakunts turned
professional almost exactly three years ago. In
2024 he won the WBU world Super Welterweight
title, and last February he added the GBC
version to his resume.
Most recently,
this past June, he moved up to Middleweight to
win the WBC Asian title in Bangkok, and now he
returns to “the land of smiles” for what will be
his third straight bout in Thailand.

The fight

promoted by Manop Iamthuam.
