Irish prospect Rachel “The Bullet” Lally put on a clinic to win the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) International Super Middleweight title on Sunday, November 9, in Dubai.

Based in Dubai, Lally comprehensively out-boxed fellow undefeated co-challenger Leila Yusuph Macho, moving excellently and using her superior skills to keep the Tanzanian at the end of her punches for a unanimous decision.

It was a disciplined and impressive display from Lally, now 3-0-1 (1), who controlled every round against the game Macho, 4-0 (1) going in, and proved that she is ready to continue on a fast-track, potentially fighting for the UBO world title in the near future.

At Super Featherweight Yousef Ali was equally focused and disciplined as he made history by becoming the first ever professional boxing champion from Bahrain.

Ali, 5-2 (0), won the vacant UBO M.E.N.A. title with a unanimous decision over tough and willing Dubai-based Filipino Norberto Tano, 3-2 (1).

Tano tried his best to break the rhythm of his taller opponent, but Ali was on point through-out and had little trouble keeping him at bay.

Late substitute Nicolas Michal Mdoe from Tanzania floored Dubai´s Husain Alshammar twice with right hands, and then forced the referee to intervene in the first round to win the vacant UBO International Super Welterweight title.

The 34-year-old from Dar Es Salaam improved his professional record to 15-8-2 (11). Alshammar is now 7-4 (7), having won his last five coming into this fight.

Streamed live world-wide by IFL TV, the show was promoted by Grassroots Boxing.
