The Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) world Minimumweight title did not find a new owner on Friday, November 7, in La Estrella, Colombia.

After twelve intense and spirited rounds, Jesus Haro, fighting out of Merced, California, and Venezuelan Geremys Batista fought to a Majority Draw in their fight for the vacant title.

Batista, the reigning Venezuelan national champion, started the fight best, but Haro worked himself into the fight and had the stronger finish.

Judge Valentina Munoz scored the fight 115-113 for Haro, but was overruled by judges Enis Pacheco and Mary Luz Mosquera who couldn't separate the two and both had it even at 114-114.

23-year-old “Chiquito” Haro is now 13-3-1 (2), and Batista (22) suffered his first minor blemish on his record as he goes to 11-0-1 (9).

Both boxers naturally felt they had done enough to win, and the fight, headlining a card promoted by Sergio Andrade, certainly deserves a rematch.
