UBO - Universal Boxing Organization™

Marcial “Chay” Carrion will fight Santiago Javier Bazan for the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) Continental (South America) Welterweight title on November 1 at the Arena Cavancha in Iquique, Chile.

If successful, Carrion (20-1, 5 KOs) will join his twin-brother as UBO Continental champion, as Patricio Carrion won the Super Lightweight version last August at the same venue.

Marcial Carrion turned professional in November of 2017, on the same card as his brothers pro debut, and their paths have been quite similar.

In 2019 he won the Chilean national Super Lightweight title, and last year he captured the WBA Fedebol belt at Welterweight with a unanimous decision over Christian Nicolas Andino from Argentina.

Now he faces another tough Argentinian for UBO honours in “Piedrita” Bazan, who brings a record of 8-1 (5). Bazan is less experienced, but he will aim to make up for that with hunger and superior punching-power.

Carrion vs. Bazan for the vacant UBO Continental (South America) Welterweight title will be promoted by TC2 Boxing.
