Cruzat vs. Furtado: UBO World Championship Boxing In Chile September 27

Current UBO Continental (South America) champion Junior Cruzat (15-0, 10 KOs) will face former WBA Fedebol and Brazilian titlist Jackson Furtado (12-2, 11 KOs) for the vacant crown.

Cruzat, 24-years old and from nearby Llanquihue, won the UBO Continental title in his most recent bout, when he stopped Colombian Andres Penaloza in four rounds last December.

Since then he has been working patiently and diligently towards his shot at the UBO world title, and in Furtado he will be up against a very dangerous and accomplished co-challenger.

Furtado (37) won the Brazilian national Super Lightweight title and made one successful defense in 2017, before moving down to Super Featherweight to win the national title again the following year.

In July of 2023 he demolished Venezuelan Yoni Blanco (15-3) in the first round to become WBA Fedebol champion, and only this past April he stopped undefeated Pole Dominik Harwankowski (14-0) in Poland.

Both boxers are technically skilled and punches hard with both hands, and this promises to be a very entertaining fight, promoted by MCC Producciones at the Arena Puerto Montt.
