Trejo (4-3-1, 1 KO), from Saltillo in Mexico, may not have a glossy record, but she has shown she is much better than her statistics suggests, most recently by defeating former world title-challenger Shelly Barnett for the second time in April of last year.

Her three defeats all came on points against undefeated opponents, but she has not lost since 2022 and is now eagerly anticipating her big opportunity to solidify herself as a world champion.

The same can be said about her opponent, who also bring modest statistics at 4-2-1 (1). Mexican-American Anyela Lopez is coming off excellent wins over Michelle Morales (5-0-1) and Nichole Chisholm (5-1), and the blemishes on her record all came against unbeaten foes.

Trejo may be “the promoters girl”, and the favourite in some eyes, but plenty would also pick Lopez to win. In reality this is a genuine 50/50 fight which can go either way!

In the co-featured bout, another evenly-matched encounter sees Sarah French (5-2-2) fighting Suzana Rodriguez Griffin (5-1, 2 KOs) for the UBO International Welterweight title.
