Bulgarian Vladimir “Bull Bull” Georgiev is the new Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) world Super Middleweight champion after winning the vacant title on Saturday, July 19, at the Aphitheatre in Sveti Vlas, Bulgaria.

Georgiev, fighting out of Sofia, scored by far the best win of his career, as he defeated former Spanish, European Union and IBF International titlist Ronny Landaeta by unanimous decision.

The fight headlined Max Fight Championship 62, the latest edition of one of the biggest recurring combat sport events in Europe, promoted by Max Fight Promotions in collaboration with Alexeev Promotions.

Landaeta, born in Venezuela but now a Spanish national, was as tough as expected, but Georgiev boxed excellently and executed a strict game-plan to fend off the rugged visitor.

After twelve entertaining rounds of boxing, judges Antonio Grigorov, Georgi Ivanov and Radoslav Milutinovic scored it 118-111, 118-112 and 117-111 respectively, all for Georgiev.

A pro since 2018, 34-year-old Georgiev took his professional record to 14-4 (3). Landaeta (42) falls to 22-7 (12).
