Mendoza To Fight Local Young Gun Bohorquez For UBO World Title

Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) Inter-Continental champion Gilberto Mendoza travels to Medellin, Colombia to take on local young gun Julian Bohorquez for the vacant UBO world Light Flyweight title on July 19.

  
 

Mendoza (26-19-4, 13 KOs), from Modesto in California, has faced a long line of big names, and has won six of his last seven fights, including winning the UBO Inter-Continental last July in Mexico.


The 35-year-old veteran has always been ready to take on all comers, which he proves again by facing a young and hungry up-and-comer in Bohorquez.


While he enters enemy territory, he will have a big advantage in experience over his 25-year-old foe, who is 7-1-1 (3) since entering the paid ranks.


 
 

This is a real crossroads fight between one man who has seen it all, and a boxer who has yet to find out his level but believes in himself and his chances.
