As
the rounds passed, Obaid managed to have his own
spells of aggression, but it was mostly Marquez
coming forward and the local man moving and
countering effectively.
Judges
Giannantonio
Canzian, Massimo Stuppazzini and Marco Zanatta all
scored it the same, 80-72 for Obaid. While
arguably
justifiable, the
wide scores doesn't do the effort of
the determined
Marquez justice.
After a rough
start to his career, Obaid (29) took his
professional record to 7-7-3 (1), having lost only
once in his last eight outings. Marquez
(21) lost for only the second time in his last
seven, but drops to 6-6-2 (3).
The fight was
the main event of a show promoted by Boxing Duran,
streamed live by Fighters Life.
