Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) International Welterweight champion Deonte Walker (20-1, 19 KOs) will defend his title against Argentinian veteran Juan Manuel Witt (40-3-2, 31 KOs) on July 12.

The fight is part of a championship twin-bill at the Sioux City Convention Center in Sioux City, Iowa, promoted by 15th Round Promotions.

In the co-feature, former UBO world Lightweight champion Stevie “Sledgehammer” Morgan fights for a WBA world title.

Walker (24) won the UBO International title last January with a second round stoppage of Brazil´s Eduardo Reis in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and has since stayed busy with two quick wins in Colombia.

He is also a former UBO Continental (North America) champion, a title he won in July of 2024 when he stopped the tough Rudy Montenegro in round seven.

Juan Manuel Witt is entering his second shot at a UBO International title, as, in June of 2022, he lost to Brandon Berry for the Super Welterweight version.

In 2023 he came up short in WBA and NBA title fights in the USA, but he is coming off two victories in title bouts, most recently on March 15 when he became South American champion by beating Victor Cante in San Lorenzo, Paraguay.

This will be another step up for the young Walker, as he faces his most accomplished and experienced foe to date. The result should be a good indicater on how far he is from his dream of becoming a world champion.
