Octavio Pudivitr will face Ruben Eduardo Acosta for the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) world Cruiserweight title on June 28 at the Pavilhao Municipal in Fanzeres, Portugal.

Portugal´s Pudivitr (14-2, 9 KOs) is a former UBO world champion at Light Heavyweight, and has gone 5-0 (5) since moving up to Cruiserweight earlier this year.

In his most recent outing, on May 30, the man nicknamed “Tank” demolished previously undefeated Venezuelan puncher Klismans Bolano (10-0, 9 KOs) in the first round to win the WBC Latino title.

Former WBO world title-challenger “Siru” Acosta (42-18-5, 15 KOs), from Buenos Aires in Argentina, has seen it all and done almost everything in his long career.

He is a former Argentina national, South America, WBO Latino and WBO NABO champion, and has shared the ring with, and defeated, some very capable opponents.

Acosta has not lost since coming up short against former WBA world champion Firat Arslan in Germany almost four years ago, and he is by far the most accomplished opponent Pudivitr has faced to date.

Pudivitr vs. Acosta for the UBO world Cruiserweight title headlines Gandomar Fight Night 2025, promoted by Arena Matosinhos.
