A four-time world champion is three
weight-classes, and still active at thirty-six,
23 years after amazingly turning professional at
only thirteen in 2001.
Rivas, 40-11-1 (11) at the time, lost by
unanimous decision to undefeated Samantha
Worthington last January, in their fight for the
UBO world title at the Muhammad Ali Centre in
Louisville, Kentucky.
Before that she had won the WBA world Super
Flyweight title in 2005, IBF world Bantamweight
title in 2011, WBC world Bantamweight title in
2014 and the WBA world Super Bantamweight title
in 2018.

28 championship fights between 2005 and 2024 has
brought her eighteen victories, nine defeats and
one draw.
She made five successful defences of the IBF world
Bantamweight title, four successful defences of
the WBC world Bantamweight title, and one
successful defense of the WBA world Super
Bantamweight title, which she never lost in the
ring.
Rivas has a resume that only very few boxers can
claim, and she is, and always has been, a
wonderful example for the sport of boxing
