Turkey´s Ege Konuk (10-0, 5 KOs) wants to emulate his twin-brother Efe by defeating Indian Shivam (10-1-1, 5 KOs) on October 6 in Bangkok, when they fight for the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) Continental (Asia) Super Lightweight title.

Efe scored a close decision over Shivam after ten tough rounds in May of 2023, and now Ege wants to become only the second person to get the better of him.

At the same time, Shivam (23) will probably feel this is his best chance to even the score. Unless he can get a rematch with Efe, beating his identical twin will be the next best thing.

And he travels to Thailand with momentum, having won four straight since his sole loss, including two wins over undefeated opponents.

Ege Konuk (21) turned pro at eigteen, along with his brother, in March of 2021 in Turkey, before scoring two wins in Dubai.

His last seven bouts have taken place in Thailand, where he has won Asian Boxing Federation, WBC Asian Silver and WBC Asian Continental titles.

Its not the first time he tests himself against one of his brothers former foes. In his most recent outing he defended his WBC Asian Continental belt with a clear unanimous decision over former two-time WBO world champion Panya Uthok (57-14), whom Efe beat six months earlier.

The very intriguing fight will be part of FCC 7: Double Impact II, featuring no less than five UBO title fights, promoted by FCC Promotions in association with Highland Boxing Promotions at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. The event will be streamed live and free on YouTube.
