On September 23 in Magdeburg, Germany, former UBO International Super Lightweight champion Miroslav Serban sparked new fire into his career when he beat previously undefeated Miridon Mulolli (8-0) by majority decision over eight rounds.

Serban (32), who won the UBO title in November of 2017 when he out-pointed Frenchman Bryan Boussis, improved his record to 14-14-1 (7) after a rough patch with no wins in two years, and is now set to fight Erik Agateljan (10-1) for the Czech national Middleweight title on October 20.

UBO Eurasia Heavyweight champion Taryel Jafarov stayed busy with a non-title victory on September 26 in Baku, Azerbaijan, stopping Pakistani Syed Hamdani in the second round.

Jafarov, who became UBO champion last May, improved his professional record to 23-6 (21), and is looking to return in another UBO title fight ssoon.

On the same card, UBO world Lightweight champion Seymur Isayev moved to 12-0 (10), also in a stay-busy fight.

Former IBO world Super Middleweight champion Isaac Chilemba (27-9-3, 11 KOs) was supposed to fight for the vacant UBO world Light Heavyweight title on September 30, in what would have been his first professional fight in his native Malawi.

Unfortunately the fight against undefeated Nigerian Matthew Obinna (22-0, 22 KOs) was cancelled when Chilemba cracked a rip in sparring.

We wish Chilemba a speedy recovery, and hope that this excellent fight can take place at a later date.

Travis Scott, the former UBO All-America Middleweight champion, returned to the ring after a four-year absence when he beat Aaron Anderson by unanimous decision on August 19 in Biloxi, Mississippi.

Scott, from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, is now 20-6 (5) and still in great shape at forty-two years of age, which coming in just over the Super Welterweight limit is a testament to.
