• Newly crowned UBO Latino Welterweight champion Andres Munoz (7-1-1) was honoured for his triumph on July 29 in Quito, by the Ecuadorian police force at a ceremony a few days later.

Munoz is a decorated police officer when he is not trading punches in the ring.

• Former UBO International Welterweight champion Guido Emmanuel Schramm (16-1-2) from Argentina once again proved his class on the big stage when he scored a draw with undefeated Paul Kroll (10-0-1) on August 4 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

Just like his previous fight, a victory over then unbeaten Jahyae Brown (13-0), the fight was broadcast live on Showtime television, giving Schramm exceptional exposure in the United States.

• Congratulations to UBO Inter-Continental and Latino Heavyweight champion Jesus Escalera (15-0), who was recently inducted into the Florida Boxing Hall of Fame for his accomplishments and service to the sport as a promoter.

Jesus was inducted alongside his uncle, former WBC world Super Featherweight champion Alfredo Escalera (53-14-3), who was also present at the ceremony.

• UBO All-America Welterweight champion, and former UBO International titlist, Brandon Berry (25-7-2) is scheduled to return on November 11.

The fight, scheduled for 8 rounds against an opponent TBA, will take place in Portland, not far from Berry´s hometown West Forks.
