A couple of
former UBO title-challengers have done well
recently. Robert Grguric from Croatia,
who lost the 2020 UBO Fight of the Year to
Christian Demaj for the International
Cruiserweight title, is now the World Boxing
Federation (WBF) International Heavyweight
champion.
Grguric (6-3, 5 KOs) stopped 8-0 Stefan Rompold
in five rounds on March 11 in Switzerland,
proving his worth once again.
On the same night in Luebeck, Germany, Mirko
Koenig (6-1, 4 KOs) won his third straight
since losing a decision to Tom Roestel for the
UBO Youth world Super Middleweight title last
January, as he beat journeyman Mazen Girke on
points.
