“It
is a great opportunity for me to fight for the UBO
title in Ghana”, said Townsend. “I will take it
with both hands, and I look forward to winning the
title in his home town.”
The more
experienced and harder punching Dotse will have
other plans, though. He sees this as a major
chance for him to become a champion, after losing
challenges for the Ghana national title and the
African Boxing Union (ABU) title.
He knows he
carries the power to hurt his opponents, something
he showed this past November when he obliterated
journeyman Kuma Doe in three rounds He will be
aware that Townsend is a different kettle of fish,
but insists that he too can be knocked out.
A classic
battle between boxer and puncher, Townsend vs.
Dotse for the vacant UBO Inter-Continental
Welterweight title will be promoted by Box Office
Sports in association with Platinum Punch
Promotions.
