After a few tough years of taking on all challenges, going into his opponents back yard, Venezuelan Yeison “Dinamita” Gonzalez has revived his career by becoming the new Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) Inter-Continental Middleweight champion.

On Saturday night, December 9, he was up against it again, in Miercurea-Ciuc, Romania, but this time he came out on top when he defeated Romanian Marius Antonietti by split decision.

Still only twenty-four years old, Gonzalez has been a pro since 2017, and quickly looked like a man to keep an eye on, winning the WBA Fedebol Super Welterweight title in 2018.

He then started taking his act on the road, losing to excellent opponents, often on short notice, and was suddenly a young journeyman. But now he is a champion again after an excellent performance against Antonietti.

Gonzalez has now won three of his last four, and took his professional record to 19-11 (12). He will be looking to build on his current momentum, maybe in a rematch with Antonietti or a deserved home-coming title-defense in Venezuela.

Antonietti (33), fighting in Romania only for the second time, drops to 13-5 (9).

The fight was the main event of a show promoted by Kiliti Promotions.
