"Savage" Sangeeta Birdi Goes For Second Title, UBO International

Of Indian decent, born in Canada and fighting out of the United Kingdom, “Savage” Sangeeta Birdi is nothing if not international.

 
 

Her next fight will take place at the Bukom Boxing Arena in Accra, Ghana on December 19, and very appropriately she will be fighting for the Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) International Featherweight title.

Birdi, a very misleading 3-5 (3) in the paid code, will face former world title-challenger Flora Machela (7-12-1, 5 KOs) from Tanzania in one of the featured bouts on a card promoted by Britain-based Platinum Punch Promotions.

Last November she captured the WBC India title, and now she is focused on winning her second championship belt and prove she is much better than her negative statistics suggest.


 
 

The show will be headlined by former UBO world champion Prince Patel fighting Venezuelan Liborio Solis for the vacant IBO world Bantamweight title.

Four more UBO title fights are planned for the card, including co-promoter Tony Bange fighting for the UBO Internatioal Super Welterweight crown, and UBO All-Africa Welterweight champion Sampson Segbedzi defending against Isaac Aryee.
