One
of the best fighters in East Africa, Fadhili
Majiha, is finally a world champion in his
third attempt, winning the vacant Universal
Boxing Organization™ (UBO) world
Bantamweight title on Saturday night,
September 30, at Rock City Mall in Mwanza,
Tanzania.

Majiha,
who previously came up short in UBO world
title-opportunities at Flyweight and Super
Featherweight, defeated game but out-classed
Filipino co-challenger Renz “The Jaguar” Rosia
by clear unanimous decision.
The local
man was dominant through-out, but Rosia, who
challenged for the IBO world Flyweight title in
2015, never gave up and tried his best to shift
the momentum until the final bell.
After
twelve rounds of high-paced boxing, judges Said
Mkonde, Agapeter Mnazareth and Josmo Mlundwa all
scored the fight 119-109.

Winning his
seventh straight fight, the new UBO world
champion, still only thirty years old, improved
his professional record to 31-14-4 (15).
Southpaw
Rosia (35), a former WBC International and
three-time Philippines national titlist, drops to
a very deceiving 17-11-2 (9).
Televised
in Tanzania by TV3, the show was promoted by HB
SADC Boxing Promotions.
