Michal Ryba won the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) International Light Heavyweight title on Saturday night, August 19, defeating former four-time world title-challenger Bosko Misic.

In the main event of an open-air show at the Nova Zbrojovska in his city of birth, Brno, the Czech emerged victorious by fourth round technical knockout. Official time of stoppage: 1:13.

With 37 out of 44 combined wins between them coming inside the distance, it was always unlikely that this fight would go the distance, and after big punches landed from both sides it was the local man who came out on top.

With this victory, 29-year-old Ryba, who entered the fight as the reigning UBO East Europe champion, took his professional ledger to 17-10-1 (14).

After starting his career with mixed results, often against very good opponents, he has now won nine of his last ten outings.

Croatia's Misic (32), who lost a challenge for the UBO world title at Super Middleweight in 2021, drops to 27-25 (23).
