Featured UBO Champion: Nelson Hysa

Luckily, Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) International Heavyweight champion Nelson Hysa fits all three criteria.

While he turned professional late at 37 in May of last year, Hysa has wasted little time establishing himself in the pro game after an accomplished amateur career that included numerous tournament victories.

He put together five convincing victories before the end of 2022, capped off with a land-slide unanimous decision over, faded but extremely experienced, Mike Tyson-conqueror Danny Williams (54-31).

This past January he beat reigning Czech national champion Pavel Sour (17-13), scoring two knock-downs on his way to another shut-out points win.

Less than two months later, he won the UBO title when he demolished former WBO Africa titlist Vikapita Meroro (30-15) in three rounds, scoring a massive one-punch knockout in Tirana.

Since then he has added two additional wins to his ledger, stopping Juan Camilo Novoa (31-10-1) and Wilberforce Shihepo, taking his unbeaten record to 9-0 (7).

Age is only a number, especially in the heavyweight division!
