known as someone who would put on a show and
give his all, which is why he was considered a
good opponent for undefeated Ukrainian Ihor
Magurin on January 20, 2018 in Kiev.
His
losses were almost exclusively against very good
opponents, and he held a knockout victory over
Ricardo Nunez (11-1) who went on to fight
Gervonta Davis for the WBA world Super
Featherweight title.
He had
also proved his worth by only losing a technical
decision to 15-0 Argentinian Luis Ernesto Rueda
in his most recent fight, but at 11-7 (8) he was
obviously a significant underdog against Magurin
(7-0-1, 3 KOs).
