Scott “Cujo” Sigmon is the Universal Boxing Organization™ (UBO) All-America Cruiserweight champion after winning the vacant title on Saturday night, June 3, at the Augusta Expoland in Fisherville, Virginia.

Sigmon (36) defeated old foe and friend Nick Kisner, almost five years after losing their first encounter by majority decision, and also picked up the vacant WBC USA title in the process.

It was expected to be a good fight, much like the original, but unfortunately it was an anticlimactic triumph for Sigmon, as the bout was halted before it really caught fire when Kisner was forced to retire before the start of round three with torn biceps.

While they have been friends a long time, both men had promised to put that aside and give the fans another entertaining fight, and the first two rounds did offer good exchanges. It could have been a barn-burner, but it was not to be.

Evening the score, although not in the way he had hoped, Sigmon improved his professional record to 37-15-1 (19). Kisner, a former NABA and Maryland State champion, travels back to Baltimore at 22-7-1 (6).

Billed as “Every Dog Has Its Day”, Sigmon vs. Kisner headlined a show promoted by Cujo´s Toe 2 Toe Promotions.
